Our Editorial Standards

How we research, write, review and correct content — so readers and Google can trust what we publish.

🔬
Science-backed health claims
Every health claim is reviewed by Dr. Michael Bennett Ph.D. against peer-reviewed literature. We cite primary sources (PubMed, NIH, EFSA) — not secondary blogs. Claims without scientific backing are clearly marked as traditional use or anecdotal.
📊
Verified market data only
Price data comes exclusively from Vandanmedu e-auction results, Spices Board India official reports, and verified trade databases. We never estimate or fabricate prices. Data is labelled with source and date of last update.
🌱
Practical horticultural experience
Growing guides are written by Olivia Turner, a qualified horticulturist. We do not publish gardening advice from general knowledge — all plant care information reflects real cultivation research and practice.
✏️
Original writing — no AI bulk content
All articles on CardamomNectar are originally written by our named authors. We do not publish AI-generated bulk content. AI tools may assist with research organisation, but every article is written, reviewed and approved by a human expert.
🔄
Regular content updates
Cardamom prices, export data and market conditions change frequently. We review and update time-sensitive content every month. The “Last Updated” date on each article reflects a genuine content review, not just a metadata change.
⚠️
Clear corrections policy
When we publish an error, we correct it transparently with an editorial note, the correction date and what was changed. We do not silently edit articles to hide mistakes. Contact us at the email below to report any inaccuracy.

Advertisers, affiliate partners and sponsored content do not influence which products we recommend, what prices we report or what health claims we publish. Sponsored content, when it appears, is clearly labelled “Sponsored” or “Advertisement.”

  • 02

Transparency — Named authors on every article

Every article published on CardamomNectar carries the name of its author and, where relevant, its scientific reviewer. Anonymous content is not published. Author profiles link to full credential pages so readers can verify expertise directly.

  • 03

    Health content disclaimer

CardamomNectar publishes evidence-based information about the nutritional and health properties of cardamom for educational purposes. This content is not medical advice and should not replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. We clearly label all health content with this disclaimer.

  • 04

    Market news accuracy & timeliness

Cardamom price news is published as close to auction close time as practicable. Prices are reported as indicative ranges, not guaranteed transaction prices. All news articles carry a publication timestamp. Outdated price data is updated or clearly marked as historical.

Why We Built CardamomNectar

Cardamom is the world’s third most expensive spice — yet when we started researching it, we found the internet full of copy-pasted health lists, inaccurate price claims and growing guides written by people who had never grown a cardamom plant. We set out to fix that.

CardamomNectar exists to be the most trustworthy, most detailed and most useful English-language resource on cardamom — for home cooks in the UK and US, for Indian and Pakistani families who grew up with elaichi, for spice professionals and importers who need daily market data, and for curious people who simply want to understand what’s inside that fragrant green pod.

Every piece of content we publish goes through a four-stage process: research by a subject specialist, writing by a trained author, scientific review where relevant, and editorial check before publication. It takes more time. It produces better content.

We are independent and self-funded. We earn revenue through display advertising (Google AdSense) and affiliate recommendations — both clearly disclosed. No brand pays us to write favourably about their products.
